Emily Rose Oachs graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Minnesota with a degree in communication studies. She has authored more than 50 nonfiction books for children and young adults on topics ranging from natural disasters and biomes to geography and history. She lives and writes in Los Angeles.
