Neil King is a retired physician and gastroenterologist, now living in Liverpool with his wife Marion. He graduated in Medicine and also received his doctorate in Glasgow where he was born and brought up. An interest in the application of lasers in his specialty brought him a Visiting Professorship in The Department of Engineering in the University of Liverpool. Writing is a retirement hobby
