Bruce Robertson, who holds a Ph.D. from Yale University, specializes in American and British art and the history of museums. His is a professor in the History of Art and Architecture Department and director of the Art, Design, and Architecture Museum at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has published across a wide range of topics, from the sixteenth century to the present, including Radical Bodies, American Stories, O'Keeffe Abstraction, Sargent and Italy, Marsden Hartley, Reckoning with Winslow Homer, and, in collaboration with Edward Nygren, Views and Visions, which won the first Charles Eldredge Prize from the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
