ROB BROWN is Professor of Finance and head of the Department of Finance at The University of Melbourne. He is co-author of Financial Accounting Theory (2nd edition) and has published papers in many research journals including The Journal of Banking and Finance, The Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Economica and The Australian Journal of Management. He is a former associate director (finance) of Accounting and Finance, the research journal of the Accounting Association of Australia and New Zealand. He has taught at the University of Sydney, Lancaster University and Monash University and on short courses for a range of clients including BHP/Billiton, Australia Post and the National Australia Bank.
