Megan Halsey has studied printmaking and illustration, but what she really likes is making things--especially the exquisite cut-paper figures that enliven such books as
Who Wakes Rooster? by Clare Hodgson Meeker, which the
New Yorker selected for recommended reading, and
One Bean, by Anne Rockwell, which was chosen as an Outstanding Science Trade Book for Children by the joint committee of the National Science Teachers Association and the Children's Book Council.
Megan, who also teaches illustrations at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, lives with her husband in Philadelphia.
