Mark Joseph is the New York Times best-selling author of five novels including the Cold War submarine thrillers To Kill the Potemkin and Typhoon, and the non-fiction cult classic Forbidden Fantasies: Men Who Dare to Dress in Drag with photographers Mike Phillips and Barry Shapiro. He is the former editor of San Francisco's New Deep City Press and Frisco Magazine. He lives in Northern California, not far from the headwaters of the Russian River.
