Wendy Erskine's two short story collections, Sweet Home and Dance Move, have between them been listed for the Gordon Burn Prize, the Edgehill Prize, the Butler Literary Award and the Sunday Times Short Story Prize (for the story 'Inakeen') and were included as books of the year in the Times Literary Supplement, the Observer, the Guardian, the White Review and the Irish Times, among others.

Dance Move was serialised as BBC Radio 4 Book at Bedtime, and Wendy has written originally stories for performance on BBC and RTÉ in Ireland. She has a show on Soho Radio for Rough Trade Books, edited the anthology, well I just kind of like it, about art in the home for Paper Visual Art Books (2022) and her non-fiction has appeared in the Guardian and the Quietus amongst other places.

She is a full-time teacher in a secondary school.
