Estelle Gershgoren Novak is the author of three poetry collections: The Shape of a Pear, The Flesh of Their Dreams, and Lot's Wife and Other Poems. She edited and contributed to an anthology of Los Angeles poets entitled Poets of the Non-Existent City: Los Angeles in the McCarthy Era. It was chosen as a book of the year by the Los Angeles Times. Novak holds a Ph.D. in English and has taught at several universities in Southern California.
