Susan Wahl Allen was born in Ohio in 1949 graduating from a small school in rural Ohio. She went on to graduate from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. There she met and married Lawrence Lee Allen who became a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. They traveled the world with Sue teaching elementary children in many of the places theylived. They settled in Roy, Utah when Lee retired from the service and she began to teach full time. Upon retirement from teaching, she did substitute work and tutoring for over 10 more years. She worked with her husband as he wrote The Little White Wolf editing and facilitating the publication. The two of them then collaborated in created The Little Green Dragon.
