Summary:
Four months ago, the Ting twins learned the truth about who (what) they are. Naturally, they both found different ways to cope with the news. That is until a mystery landed right in their laps. A mystery that is drawn to them.
Since Milly and Billy's parents haven't helped them figure out the whole new power thing, they are going at it alone. Given the world they've suddenly entered, this is far from a safe task. A fact the twins will soon learn.
Review:
I'm in love. No seriously. I love The Night Eaters. Two volumes in, and I still can't get enough. This series is perfection. It's dark but sprinkled with humor. Fascinating and striking. And the artwork! Don't even get me started on the artwork.
I've been wondering how Her Little Reapers would go for months now. I was not disappointed. I loved watching the twins try and figure things out on their own. More than that, I loved seeing how differently they handled the same situation/information.
Her Little Reapers gives readers a chance to explore more of the world. While it answers many questions, it raised twice as many. This is the perfect series to dive into if you're looking for a compelling (but hopefully long) series.
The horror elements are perfection, especially when interwoven with moments of lightness and humor. However, I must admit that Sana Takeda's artwork is probably the biggest reason it works so well together.
I'm already looking forward to the next volume of this series. I know I could cave and switch to reading it by issue...and I just might.
