I'm not going to belittle a good book, because, being completely honest, I have no notes. Who would've thought I'd grab this book physically by chance in a Fnac and end up giving it 5 stars - incredible! Either way, I sized this book up pretty quickly - aka, I realized where the story was going, yet I was still surprised with some developments.
Probably because the issues portrayed in this book are relatable to me, I teared up quite a bit of times. I was full on sobbing, and I read this right before sleeping, stayed up after midnight to finish it. It was very climatic, in my opinion.
It's hard to do a slow burn like this - it doesn't feel like the romance is developing out of the page, rather it's developed almost like a little mystery. I've grown to not stand books that seemingly take no time into developing a relationship and play it up with theatrics by the climax.
This is a new favorite! Check it out.
