Quirky Cat
Summary:
Somebody is always out there with a bone to pick with a Hulk. Pick a Hulk, any Hulk, and somebody is gunning for their abilities/strength/etc. Unfortunately, that means Jen's life gets messed up from time to time.
This is supposed to be when she's getting her life back together. She has a boyfriend (it's complicated), a new job, and a new place. All of it. But stability is probably the one thing that she doesn't have.
Review:
Ooh boy, there's a lot to unpack here! She-Hulk Vol. 2 is packed to the brim with plots, subplots, and small moments. It was a fun reading experience, especially those smaller cameos that kept popping up. One, in particular, made me smile.
It's nice seeing Jen get back into the lawyer side of her life. I know that she is, and always will be, a lawyer, but it feels like it's been a hot minute since she celebrated that part of her life.
As for her romantic life? Well, that's always been complicated, and life with Jack (of Hearts) is no exception. Still, I have to admit that I like them as a couple, even if they will bring about a lot of drama in the near future.
Overall this is a fantastic volume. As always, I love the cover art by Jen Bartel. I also loved Luca Maresca and Takeshi Miyazawa's portrayals of Jen and various characters that cropped up in She-Hulk Vol. 2. Many were instantly recognizable, with no introductions necessary.
