A cosy fantasy romance featuring elves. It’s a light, standalone read, perfect for a winter night with a warm blanket and a cup of tea. There is no overwhelming drama, no spice, and the story avoids being overly tense or tragic.

One major highlight is the main characters, especially the female lead. She isn’t annoying (a rarity in many books I’ve read) and comes across more like a real person. Her motivations are reasonable, and her character development is both relatable and satisfying. This alone earned the book an extra star in my rating!

While not groundbreaking, world-building is well-explained and effectively serves the story. However, the characters could benefit from a bit more depth. While the chemistry between them is decent, it sometimes feels a touch dull. A deeper dive into their emotions and passions would elevate the story significantly and make their relationships more compelling.

Overall, I’m giving this book 4 (it should be 3 but the FMC wasn't ANNOINGLY stupid) out of 5 stars.
