Rance and his friend, Grady, have saved the galaxy before. This time its personal. Their friendship and trust is broken as they decide what to do about Grady's parents being arrested for treason. The group of friends travel across the galaxy searching for answers as to whether Grady's parents are guilty or have been setup.

The writing style and character dialogue flows more naturally as these characters continue to feel real and evolve as they struggle with the men and women they want to become. This is a great young adult novel to show the difficulties in deciding a future while our worlds are falling down around us.
