4 Maple Leaf Review
Stone's smile was like the sun, warming the room and giving life all while reminding anyone who could see it that he was dangerous. Deadly.
Stone has had a rough life. After running away and joining the circus, an accident changed everything. Now the owner of a brothel, The Carnal Tower, there is not much that surprises him. On a run in the park, Stone literally falls at the feet of August, an awkward artist who captures his attention unlike anyone else ever has. After making a deal for one week together in exchange for paintings for The Carnal Tower, Stone may have just found his very own fallen angel.
"Gave you wings," August said, his eyes drifting closed. "My angel."
I was pleasantly surprised by Stone and August's story. It was not what I was expecting but at the same time, it was more than I expected. Stone and August were so opposite but complimented each other well. I loved how their relationship grew from strangers in the park to help each other feel they were both worth more. I am excited to see where this series goes. My first read from the author but will not be my last.
Shades of Lust is an mm, forbidden, bi-awakening, opposites-attract, virgin romance that is told in the dual third-person point of view.
