The Seven Dragons was originally published as a series of stories in The Strand Magazine in 1899, and in book form as The Book of Dragons in 1900. The other stories appeared in The Strand Magazine in 1899-1900, with the exception of The Last of the Dragons (1925, in the posthumous collection The Five Of Us - and Madeleine).
