Will Kris Gage be able to help Detective Bryan Dee figure out who killed Edward Mitchell?
Kris Gage
Kris Gage is an urban planner from Vancouver, was headed home to Niagara-on-the-Lake to help his parents move to their new home in Toronto. He is into his job and lets people know what he thinks if they ask for his opinion. Kris doesn't like what is going on in his old hometown and is worried about it. He is also enjoys walking everywhere and riding his bike. I like that he is into that even if that isn't possible in all parts of the world. Kris seems like a good person and tries to help as many people out as he can while being home.
The Mystery
Detective Bryan Dee asked Kris Gage to help him solve the murder of Bryan's old history professor from his high school days because Bryan knew that he needed help. Especially if whoever killed him was after his land. Kris went after the land and money connections of the case, while Bryan ends up following another trail that he isn't all that certain about. Let's say that I fell for the red herrings, and I didn't expect it to be who it was. Mr. Lang did a great job on this one. In this book, so much happens that it makes you think about what the author gave us as the reader to look at.
3 Stars
The Concrete Vineyard by Cam Lang is an informative book on Canadian life back in 2017-2018. He while also gives us an insight into urban planning and what that entails. I didn't even know what it was until I read the book and got a crash course through Kris. Mr. Lang does know his urban planning.
Let's say that this book makes you think you know what's going on, but then you get turned around when another part pops up. It is so informative that I had to stop reading for a bit to let some of what the author said sink in and figure out what he was talking about. I'm giving this book 3 stars and only recommend it to those who are into urban planning and mysteries. Also, did you know that Canadians are really into wine? I did not.
Thank you for dropping by! I hope you enjoyed this review of The Concrete Vineyard by Cam Lang.
Until the next time,
Happy Reading!
