Lorelei's Lit Lair
Written on Aug 1, 2020
The story begins with a friendship between Laiyla, Chloé and KT. The camaraderie and special bond they share makes you want to be a part of their circle.
This series begins with Laiyla’s story, returning home after her grandfather’s death, leaving in his will a marina for her where she grew up during her childhood. It’s been 12 years since she was last there. Running into her first love brings back memories. Levi is handsome, a contractor and the town’s favorite son. When Laiyla left, she broke his heart. When they meet again there’s still a flame burning in Levi’s heart, but will Laiyla break it again?
I really enjoyed Ms Jordan’s writing style. Dialogues flow with ease, filled with witty banter. Each character’s voice brings them to life.
Laiyla and Levi’s love and emotions are heartfelt and passionate. You can feel the vulnerability and emotions from each one’s point of view.
There’s small town drama, the usual troublemakers and family drama with makes the story engaging and fun. I read the story in almost one sitting. Never a dull or boring moment. Heat level is 3.5 I give In Too Deep 4.5 stars!
I’m ready to dive into the next book! I highly recommend In Too Deep to other readers who enjoy small town romance with heat and special friendships.
I received an advanced copy in exchange of my honest opinion.
