Where do I even begin? What an absolute delight it was to read Fresh Meet, the beginning of the Kings of the Water series. I'll be honest, the nanny trope is not my favorite to read about, but you got other tropes coming in and I loved every minute of this one.

This is definitely my favorite by Jasmin and now that we've met the other Kings (I think), there's just so much anticipation for this series.

I loved the slow burn aspect to this, even though their attraction and chemistry is off the charts from the very beginning. They didn't act on it right away, I loved that they took their time to get to know each other. And little by little, you can slowly see that fine line between them disappearing.

Fresh Meet is a very sweet story. That's the first thing that comes to my mind when I think about it. It reminded me a little of this book Down too Deep because of the relationship of the couple with the child in this book. That was my favorite thing about it. These three already seemed like a family from the early stages and it was just a matter of them realizing it and making it official.

I was expecting perhaps a tad more angst and plot to balance out the slice of life elements, but I really wasn't mad at it since it gave me a feel-good story that I devoured in a day!
