The Lady Dances Mark Talbot, a young man from New England leaves the U.S. to discover the world. Embarking at San Francisco, he meets a beautiful but mysterious and sad girl who is apparently forced by the authorities to leave the country; he follows her on the Southern Seas. This romance by Weinbaum appeared in 1933 on various american newspapers, under the pen name of Marge Stanley. Weinbaum is best known for his science fiction short stories, among them the trendsetting A Martian Odyssey, and his post-apocalyptic novel The Black Flame, whose leading character is beautiful and immortal Margaret of Urbs. Weinbaum's elegant writing style, humor and culture, along with a fertile imagination, made him one of the leaders of the Golden Age of Science Fiction. He died at the age of 33, admired by those who succeeded him, such as Isaac Asimov, Robert Bloch or Robert A. Heinlein. This novel is available for the first time as an entertaining book.
