In the distant future, on twin planets settled by a group called the New Aged Hippies, duels between women are legal. These duels are mainly hand-to-hand combat to the death and the majority of these fights are broadcasted live on television.

Eva's mother is killed during a duel and Eva views her death as murder as the woman who challenged her mother was replaced last minute by a professional fighter. The eleven year old Eva vows to revenge her mother's murder, but she has to wait until she is twenty-one before she is legally allowed to challenge the woman she blames to a duel.

At eighteen she joins a fighting academy to obtain the fighting skills she will need during the duel. She competes in many fighting based sports events during her three years at the academy. She also makes true friends and one of them becomes her lover. Everything goes to plan until she learns that she may have to face one of her closest friends in a duel before she gets the opportunity to revenge her mother's death.
