I’m having a hard time with Zoe because she’s sooooooo insecure. Like some doubt makes sense. A little insecurity is natural. But on and on all she can think is he’s not interested and he’s trying to get to her friend when EVERYTHING he’s saying and doing indicates otherwise. It’s annoying. 
ok.  Bonus points because Wilson just completely justified the over the top insecurity. 

So, basically this is like Twilight without the vampires. It's a lot of two people spending time together and talking and getting to know each other. They're clever in the way they joke around with each other. They're honest with each other which is really nice.  They're sweet and it all works quite well.

Seriously, this book should come with a warning.  I made the mistake of starting to read it in an hour I had before work.  So do yourself a favor, make sure you have plenty of time to finish the book when you sit down to read.

The style of writing is so compelling, it just draws you in and won't let you go.  The story is sweet, funny, steamy (yet clean), poignant.  The way the story is told, with #tweetz and text messages interspersed was great.  I loved the way Chase's tweets uses plays on Zoe's name.

Zoe dealt with insecurity from multiple events in her past.  She had trouble trusting those closest to her, so trying to trust Chase was a stretch for her.  Chase had also been hurt by his past, and had his own personal demons.  But he was #zozweet.  I loved the way he had Zoe's little brothers and sisters falling for his charm.

I would not recommend this book for younger audiences.  Zoe has a commitment to celibacy until marriage, but this book has some hot and heavy scenes, as I mentioned above, it is clean, but with quite a bit talk of sex and desire.

“My mom is home. You have to go. Right now.”

While my mother had matured over the last eleven years since she’d married Duncan, I didn’t want her to meet Chase and get all fangirl and weird and talking about her own brush with fame. It was humiliating enough in school; the last thing I wanted was for him to find out.

But he wasn’t budging. I pushed against him again, and it was like trying to move a brick wall. A hot, muscular, well-defined brick wall, but still. “I’m serious. You have to go.”

“Are you embarrassed by me?” he asked in a voice that was both bewildered and amused. But at least he finally took a step back. I grabbed him by the wrist, dragging him into the living room. I grabbed his jacket off of the couch and started shoving him toward my mom’s bedroom in the very back of the house.

“That’s not it. It’s…difficult to explain.”

“Aren’t you a little old to be in trouble for having a boy over while you’re babysitting?”

“You just need to leave.” I opened one of the windows and pulled out the screen, dropping it on the ground. I’d put it back later. I indicated that he should use the exit I’d just provided.

“Do you seriously want me to climb out a window?”

I heard the door from the garage to the kitchen open and then shut. My mom called out, “Zoe?”

Frantic, I started pushing him, trying to force him out. He laughed quietly but did give in. “I’m going, I’m going. But you have a lot of explaining to do.”

“Whatever,” I said.

He sat down on the windowsill, hanging one leg over the ledge. His attention was drawn to the massive poster that hung over my mother’s bed. It hadn’t even occurred to me to try and block his view or take it down. “Is that your mom?”

That stupid picture had made my life miserable for years. I would have kept it from him if I could.

My mother called my name again. It sounded like she was coming down the hallway.

I was about ready to throw all my weight against him. “Yes, it’s my mom. Now go!”

Laughing, he swung both legs through the open window and jumped the three feet to the ground, landing easily. Then he made a dramatic, Shakespearean-type bow. “’Til next we meet, my lady.”

Let's start this right off by saying, I LOVED #Starstruck! I could end my review right now and that would tell you enough. This book is fun, clever, and very romantic. Both main characters are absolutely adorable and you'll like them both from the start. This story is truly a modern day fairy tale. Even though Zoe is a regular girl who meets a famous movie star, their interactions feel so much like a regular, every day couple.

My favorite parts of the book are when the two main characters are sending tweets to each other on Twitter. This book had me laughing and swooning all at the same time. I also truly loved the scenes where Zoe and Chase were with Zoe's younger brothers and sisters. Chase just melted your heart at how cute he was with the younger siblings.

I know readers will love this book! It is a fast read that I couldn't put down and read it way past my bedtime. Sariah Wilson always writes memorable characters that you still think about days and weeks after finishing the book. I can honestly say that I'll be reading this book again just for the pure enjoyment of reading this great romantic comedy.
