The is the second of three books I read during my "having a baby hiatus" that was an excellent read and five stars. I was amused at a main character's name being Alethea, as one of my daughters is Althea. It was interesting in my mind to pick out the pronunciation, but that's not all I want to tell you in a review... So I digress.

I've read the author [a:Camy Tang|291940|Camy Tang|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1305854450p2/291940.jpg] before in the genre of contemporary mysteries and truly enjoy her writing. I also e-know her online through various book organizations. When I heard she was writing a historical romance, I got excited. When I saw the cover of [b:Prelude for a Lord|19006252|Prelude for a Lord|Camille Elliot|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1388282499s/19006252.jpg|27028567], I found myself truly intrigued. It's gorgeous! And the writing within is just as grand!

I read this book in two days, as whenever a moment presented itself I just could not put it down. I was truly drawn to the character of Lady Alethea as well as Lord Dommick and their violins (I'm a 'budding' violinist myself). The mystery was on par with the 'good' Lady Jane Grey novels and I was intrigued by every turning page. The complexity of the characters and the historical setting were all wonderfully done.

I'm just sorry I didn't get my opinions out here sooner, but this was truly excellent and I cannot wait for more from [a:Camille Elliot|7443962|Camille Elliot|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1402174496p2/7443962.jpg]!
