Can Fiona get the answers she needs from her father?
Angeles Vampire by Michael Pierce is different than what I thought it was going to be. A good different though. We follow Fiona as she is on the search for her father and ends up learning more than she bargained. Michael is another character's point of view, and he’s different. These two main characters are excellent.
Fiona Winters:
Fiona Winters is the main female character of this book, and we follow her mostly throughout. She is only eighteen years old and is on the search for her missing father to ask him some questions about why he didn’t want her or her mom. We learn quite a lot about Fiona and her mom. Fiona also works part-time at a coffee shop that is owned by people that don’t like her.
What I like about her is that despite all the odds being stacked against her she is still trying to do what she wants to do, especially at this secret society. That’s what makes her a great character because she is trying her hardest to do what she needs to do to survive. What I don’t like about her is that she let Mallory, basically her nemesis at high school and the secret society, get to her a lot when she shouldn’t have.
Michael Mercer:
Michael Mercer is the main male character of this book and follows him at times. He looks to be in his mid-twenties and is a doctor that deals with trauma patients. However, Michael is a lot more complicated than some might think he is and that is most intriguing to Fiona. These two main characters get along quite well despite that Michael is trying not to get too close to her. They would make a great couple.
What I like about him is that Michael seems to have Fiona’s best interests at heart. However, he doesn’t always seem to have somethings in control around her. What I dislike about him is that Michael should have kept his role on the council of the secret society, but hindsight, as we know, is 20/20.
Five Star
Angeles Vampire by Michael Pierce is a great starting book for this fantastic series. I enjoyed reading this book. I usually hate books with cliffhangers, but this one just intrigued me to want to keep reading the others in the series. Once I have the time to read them that is. I am now a fan of Mr. Pierce. This book is a great one, and I am highly recommending it to all young adult paranormal fantasy readers.
Anyways until the next time enjoy this review brought to you by,
Happy Reading!
