At the end of this book for the musically inclined there is a 2-page spread of sheet music including four lullabies. I'm looking at an advanced copy of The Silver Moon, but I'm thinking the final book will be a children's library treasure and it's definitely on our wishlist. The illustrations throughout are soft, full color to the page and enchanting. I'm not sure if I have experienced the art of [a:Jui Ishida|3320139|Jui Ishida|https://www.goodreads.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-d9f6a4a5badfda0f69e70cc94d962125.png] before, but I believe she has made me with a fan of this one. Her illustrations remind me of elements that I enjoy in David Walker's pictures, but hers are even more vibrant. Jack Prelutsky is a legend in his own right and has, I suppose, thousands of poems to share with children. Some are fun and exciting yet others are soothing and calm. Mr. Prelutsky seems to have poetry available for all ages and this book specifically is for the nursery age sort. Surprisingly I think my favorite might be the "Bird Lullaby" in which just reciting bird names can be made enchanting and poetic.
