It also explains the meanings of the cards in upright and reversed positions - major and minor arcana; takes the reader through swords, wands, cups and pentacles; and looks at some of the spreads available, leading up to a practice reading. Other features of the book include: the links between exploring the tarot with exploring one's inner self; the links between tarot, astrology and numerology; regular question sections for self-testing of understanding; and sample spreads to build the beginner's confidence in interpretation.
