In the end, I really liked Traveler. It had an interesting concept, fantastic characters and wasn’t as hard to understand as the review I read made it out to be. I do have questions – while I understand the whole Jessa is always Jessa thing, it’s also kind of not true? Because when a Jessa dies in another reality, like previous, and Finn finds a *new* Jessa, that’s not the same Jessa. It’s a different Jessa. Yes, they still know each other, but it surely can’t be the same feelings, because it was a different person? Basically what I’m trying to say is that what happened at the end of Traveler was just not fair, and that’s all I can say because otherwise it would be a spoiler but believe me – I HAVE QUESTIONS. *Rages*
I loved Jessa. All of the characters were incredible, actually, and I loved that while Jessa was totally confused about the whole traveler concept, she just got on with it, once she knew it was true. She could have easily just blocked Finn out of her life, called him crazy, had him arrested or something, but instead she was willing to take a risk and believe him, to travel. And the actual traveling aspect was amazing. I loved seeing all the different Jessa’s in all the different places, I liked that the places were all unique, but that there weren’t too many to get confusing. The subtle differences were fantastic and I am craving some glitter mousse like you wouldn’t believe.
Probably my only issue with Traveler was the love triangle. I like a love triangle, but considering Finn and Jessa seem fated to be together, leaving Ben as a spare part (and a bit of a pawn, considering what takes place with another Jessa) was a bit harsh. I mean how bloody dense is Jessa, that when Ben talks of having a date (to make Jessa jealous!!!) and then says he thinks she likes another guy (Finn!!!) Jess is too dense to realise he meant her all along. *eye roll* As long as they don’t push the triangle too far, because it’s not really a triangle, let’s be clear, then all will be well. I don’t know how many books are planned in this series, but I liked that there was a conclusion of sorts this time around. I am excited for the second book, because after everything that’s happened there is still a lot to be told. And I’ll be right there for it.
