I actually felt a little sorry for Krit, after Jess kicked him to the curb. I know he was not perfect, but he made so many huge gestures of love, and his level of love was not reciprocated. So, I was happy to see Abbi was giving him his HEA.
Blythe's life had been quite sad and oppressive. She was damaged by verbal and psychological abuse. Krit, with his hero complex, was compelled to connect with her, to be her friend, and get to know the real Blythe. I really liked watching their friendship unfold, and blossom into something more. He was so gentle with her, and his behaviors were so at odds with who he is.
Is the plot super original? No, but Glines always gives us a great angsty romance, with lots of drama, great characters, that is filled with heat. I only have a few more books to read (-- sigh --), and then I will have to bid farewell to Sea Breeze, and I know I will miss it.
