"The Crucifixion of Septimus Roach" is a novel set in Haiti. Father Septimus Roach has had a crisis of faith. He has also been tortured by the Paraguayan secret police. His Bishop sends him to Haiti, assuming that he can do no harm there. However, Septimus' personal crisis becomes entangled with the post-Papa Doc political crisis. This is Power's sixth novel. He has also written "Hunt for the Autumn Clowns" and the "Children of the North" trilogy.
