I thought the premise sounded interesting; that it would have slightly darker more complex elements, something like a blend of Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. It wasn't what I expected but the plot was unique and interesting (barring a few unanswered logic issues at the end) and the relationships were fun.
My main problem is that the telling of the story is very simplistic. There is no real emotion, no depth to the characters, only one sensory moment that brings the story to life. It's very straight forward, very basic, and very simple. But, then again, it wasn't written for me. If I were 7 or 8 years old I probably would have loved it.
