Synopsis:

Against his wishes, Timothy Mugford is violently sucked into Paraphernalia. Unlike in his previous outing in Carthusian’s Prophecy, his best friend, his coach’s daughter and her close friend are forcibly taken with him.

As events unfold, it becomes clear that new evil is rising in Paraphernalia: in the form of shadowy figures that can materialise and disappear without trace. A series of cataclysmic events, beginning with a time quake, threaten the continued existence of Paraphernalia and Tim’s own reality.

Tim wrestles with his conscience as he deals with the likelihood that he may need to become a Christian to do battle with some of the forces that cross his path.

Because of his vital quest to repair time itself, he’s placed on a collision course with the most powerful of all the shadows: a creature that is over 6,000 years old, has great wisdom and is unadulterated evil.
