Patrick Jaeger, LSU sophomore, will do anything to impress the beautiful and pious Monica, even pretending to be interested in visionaries from a small town in Croatia. But as they embark on a road trip from New Orleans to Colorado to meet one of the visionaries, they encounter members of the Sovereign Order of the Knights of Malta and the trip take a supernatural turn.
