"Wellington Square" has been developed to help children who have a reading age of around two years behind their chronological age, and will be particularly effective with children who are still having difficulty reading books written for 5-6 year olds. Each level comprises a set of six main reading books, ranging from wordless picture books at Level 1 to 32-page story books with some full-page text at level 5. The series also comprises five CD-ROMs, one per level, based on the reading materials. The CD-ROMS have been published to develop and extend pupils' reading skills through over 100 educationally sound activities. All five titles are suitable for pupils in primary and secondary schools who are experiencing reading difficulties. The discs are illustrated with clear and colourful graphics and should be highly stimulating and motivating, as they use animations and fun games to encourage learning. Comprehensive record keeping for each pupil is built into the package, so teachers can monitor individual progress throughout the course of the series.
