- Counselling
The author sets out to explain in this volume the processes behind bereavement. She confronts the problems of bereavement and explains how, although bereavement is a universal experience, the grieving process is often misunderstood.
This volume is intended as a guide for counsellors and all those who come into close contact with the newly bereaved. The importance of counselling is stressed, since many bereaved people feel very alone during their time of grief. There are feelings of guilt or anger when faced with the loss of a loved one, and counselling is an important step towards working through these emotions.
The author examines the issues of bereavement and faces the realities that many people wish to ignore when dealing with grieving people.
