Ex-major Dave Stubbs is now working for the SIS (MI6) as an assassin for the British Government. The department he is working for, is so secret, even the director (C) has not been informed of its existence. This is to protect the service from adverse publicity. Had the director known of this unit's existence, it would create problems for him and the service if questions were asked in parliament. Dave's new assignment is to assassinate the security advisor to Sheik Mohammad in Kuwait. This man was funding terrorism to the tune of 20 million pounds. The British Government wanted him dead. Dave was given an aluminium case of equipment which consisted of a night scope, a tripod, a 7.62mm rifle and a 9mm pistol, both of which had silencers incorporated in their barrels. Before and after the hit, he would be given diplomatic status. Dave thought this was a one-off affair, but it proved to be just one of a string of assassinations he would be required to carry out for the government. In his mind he could not refuse their requests as he knew they had total control over him. In fact, they could put him in prison, for murder.
