Olivia irked me a bit because she was constantly getting into trouble and trying to guilt trip her daughter and friends. I get that life as a ghost must be a let down. She can't do the stuff she used to do when alive, can't go everywhere and has to hide sometimes. But it was without fail, the moment she decided to do something, Murphy's Law went into effect.

I liked Molly, and the mystery was done well. I had one guess as to the killer for the first half the book or so, which turned out to be wrong. My next guess was right, but I had no idea of the why. I also really liked Brian, and disliked his family.

There are sea gods, dragon powers, shape-shifters, witches using forensics, and lots of little old ladies getting in trouble in the book! I haven't read the first two books in the series, but there was just enough explanations about how the world works in the book to make everything make sense.

This was a quick read, once I started reading it I had to know what would happen next. There were very few slow spots, and those weren't slow so much as a temporary cease of the shenanigans Molly and her friends got into.

If you're looking for a good paranormal cozy, that has witches with powers more like a fantasy than Wiccan ways, you should try this book.
