I really like the premise of this book. I haven't read Cheryl Strayed's "Wild" although I always felt like I should. Anyway - I like the lone female trekking thru a trail to prove something to herself and the slow-burn romance. I also enjoyed the dig at "influencer" culture.

I loved this story so much!
While reading I thought that this is a story that could actually happen, it felt so true. A slow burning lovestory that never felt too slow or boring. Just right. And I loved both 'Snowbird' Oliva and Ranger Jay. Their banter was hilarious!

Hiking (and trailrunning) is a hobby of mine. The AT is a bit too long and far away for my taste, but I do got some new motivation to go on a longer hike :)

So, I pre-ordered the second book today and added Happy Trail to my favourites list.

I enjoyed being back in the world of the Winston brothers, and thought both Jay and Olive were fantastic characters. Their chemistry was wonderful, and I really enjoyed watching those two fall in love. I guess good things come to those who wait, because Prescott made me wait quite a while to see these two finally get their HEA, but it was worth it. The little in-between time was great, and I liked how they used that time. I have read several books with characters conquering the AT, and it's always super interesting for me, as I would never be mistaken as an outdoors person. I also appreciate the love given to the people of Appalachia, and I had a good time being back in TN.

These two characters were so good together. It was a really sweet story with so many funny moments!

Happy Trail was such a sweet and adorable read by Daisy Prescott. And believe it or not, this was my second read ever by Daisy and it was well overdue.
I loved sooo many elements of Olive and Jay's story like the great outdoors, hiking, and punny bird jokes. My mister loves bird watching, so I was elated to share some of the jokes with him, he found them pheasantly amusing ;-) Cheesy, I know, whatever!
