Novellas are always tough to come by, but this was definitely a short and sweet intro to this upcoming series.

This was my first time reading a book by Meg Cabot, she definitely set the tone for the rest of the series. But I wasn't quite drawn in like I hoped I would be. However, you don't really get the chance to get in depth with these characters because it's so short.

I don't think I'll continue with the rest of the series, but we'll see.

This novella/short story was way, WAY shorter than I thought it was going to be. It's a little side story about a yoga/workout instructor who I think is going to be a secondary characters in Meg's new Little Bridge Island series. She ends up hooking up with a police officer (who seems like a nice enough guy) but that's literally all that happens. I ADORE Meg Cabot but I just don't have much more to say- fingers crossed the first book in the series is better!

Bridal Boot Camp is a novella that introduces the small island town, Little Bridge, and the people who live there.

I didn't expect much character development and world-building, because Bridal Boot Camp is extremely short and the last 20% of Bridal Boot Camp is an excerpt from the first book in the Little Bridge Island series, No Judgements. There's very little character development, plot and world-building in Bridal Boot Camp.

The main characters, Rob and Ryan, are likeable. Rob and Ryan are physically attracted to each other, but their relationship progresses too fast and feels rushed. I would have liked to see more relationship development.

Bridal Boot Camp is exactly what I expected it to be. It's a short and light-hearted introduction to a new series and although the plot, character development and world-building are minimal, it's an entertaining read.
