If you have been following this blog, you will know that the Dr prescribed me Abilify, and it changed my life. I am now losing weight getting in shape and have the motivation and self-efficiency needed to go after my goals. When I first read this a couple of years ago, I wasn't in a place that was necessary to be happy really. Now that I am I wanted to reread this and see if I could get more out of it and I did!
The one that I resonated most with was the being in Flow one. I realize that when I am working on this blog that I lose all track of time, and it seems the whole day goes by before I realized I haven't eaten or got up from my desk. I get in Flow when I am also reading. Unless it is a book, I hate. But mostly this blog is my life. It is my baby, and I REALLY love working on it.
The second one that resonated with me was the taking care of your body one. I realized though I 290 pounds it 's hard to work out and to work from home it 's hard to convince myself to get out of my pyjamas I really enjoy putting on makeup and getting dressed. This does not mean I get dressed to the 9s every day but once I realized how happy it makes me I do it far more often than I used to.
The third one was going after your goals. Like I said before I now have the mojo and the self-efficiency to do this so being able to crush all my goals off of my to-do list at the end of the day makes me happy. I use the desire map planner, and this has changed my life in a most revolutionary way. I now do what makes me happy and so far this year except with a few blips here and there I have been very satisfied with the way things have worked out.
I highly encourage people to get this book if you want to up your happiness quotient.
