B.M. Bower is actually a pseudonym of Bertha Muzzy Sinclair (Sinclair-Cowan, n?e Muzzy). She was born in November 15, 1871 at Cleveland, Minnesota USA. She was a famous American Western fiction author who wrote numerous novels, short stories, and screenplays regarding the American Old west. Suprisingly, many of Western Novels were adapted into films such as Jean of the Lazy A. Bower started her first career as a teacher in Grand Falls when her family moved to Montana in 1888. B.M. Bower started her writing about short stories in 1900. But her first commercial success was "Chip of the Flying U" novel in 1906 which represent denoting her writing until now. The Happy Family written in 1910 is the sequel story of Chip of the Flying U. This story included several characters from the previous novel such as Andy, Weary, Irish, Pink, Happy Jack and Big Medicine. The Flying U Ranch in 1914 continues the stories of the family introduced in Chip of the Flying U and in The Flying U's Last Stand (1915).
