The colorful land of Japan has very ancient tradition of folklore in their culture. Different islands had different folk heroes and brave men. There are thousands of prevailing folk tales in print nowadays, but the Japanese used to write those tales on sacred manuscripts to give moral lessons to the society. The Japanese storytelling was oral at the beginning but with the advent of writing and reading they go wider audience.

In this book I have presented some of the best Japanese folk tales for the people of all age groups. They will surely inform, educate, and entertain the prospective readers. They have their own flavor that is different from the folk tales from the other parts of the world.
