The action moves over a wide area, from New Orleans in the South to Lake Superior in the North, and from the Great Plains in the West to the land of the Iroquois in the East.
The element of storytelling and the description of the adventures of the boys can be judged as one of the best ever written in the English Language. The book continues to retain the element of interest till the very last part.
