Ah this was just as much fun to listen to as A Dead Djinn in Cairo! For those that may not know, this and that short story happen in the same universe around the same time. Djinn is a prequel to this one.

I enjoyed getting to see some different characters here and getting to see more of the more "mundane" caseload that the Ministry deals with. I can't get over how much I adore a steampunk Egypt, even more so with all the folklore pulled in.

I sincerely hope that Clark decides to do more with this series.

Crazy good novella. Dreamy PLUS delightful. Both these guys made me cackle. And Abla. Brilliant worldbuilding in such a small space. Love the folklore and alternate history Cairo. If this was a series, Hamed and Onsi Go Ghostbusting, I would subscribe.
