After acrimonious divorce from his culture vulture wife, homeless Robert is given shelter by their neighbour Evie, who turns out to be a lady of the night. This is his story, one man's search for himself in a clutter of baroque buildings and basques. The action ranges all the way from a brothel in Purley to, well, a proposed brothel in Las Vegas.
