Progress in modern materials science governs the necessity for the rapid development of production methods for new materials. The techniques of production have to be updated and adjusted to match the new aims and objectives of materials science. Specifically, the need for new composite materials requires the application of innovative approaches.Concerned with the progress in materials science and technologies this book highlights some of the current issues as well as possible solutions. Mechanisms of structure formation in complicated alloys are investigated. Multiple solutions are suggested for the difficulties interpreting the results of experimental studies into the properties of materials due to the inherent complexity of their chemical composition. Novel approaches to the multiple-factor analysis of processing initial and secondary raw material including non-ferrous metals are proposed. Improvement of some properties of materials often leads to deterioration of others. In attempts to solve this problem both theoretical and experimental approaches are used.
In attempts to solve the problem where by the improvement of some properties of materials often leads to deterioration of others both theoretical and experimental approaches are utilised. New patterns of high-pressure treatment of metals are identified. Various methods of treatment are suggested for large products, such as tubes. The production of modern materials is inseparable from the methods of high-pressure treatment; therefore, the techniques outlined in this book present great significance for the manufacturing of high-quality products.
