The not too distant future has not changed that much from the present, except of course that our streets are now ruled by gangs, especially "The Femi-Nazis". And there is also the first black president living in the White House, and nothing is going right for him either. Everyone in living in New $ociety have their own demons that they have to fight each day to survive this new and unfamiliar world, but some more than others. Anthony, a budding young basketball star accidentally walks into a cold and dark alley one evening, and to his astonishment, happens upon a crime in progress. Now he finds himself on the run from a demon he does not know, a new type of demon that is trying to kill him. Lorraine seems to be fighting against everyone in her world, and does not know why and how they can all be wrong, her biological family included. President Michael Kingson knows that he will not be re-elected, but he does not want to leave the White House, Nixon style.
Officer Ed does not care about what is happening in this New $ociety, because he is now free from living behind prison walls for the majority of his life, and he intends to take full advantage of his brand new gun and badge. The author tries to open our eyes to a brand "New $ociety" if everything we know were to be reversed. He entwines it all in an exciting fast paced story, which will have you turning the pages furiously, and staying awake at night.
