He can do better...

Another audio that went way too fast for me. I got sucked into Anything You Can Do and everything else was put on hold until I finished. Sure, I went to work and I said hello to the family and had little conversations to appear like I cared about the State of Origin (GO QUEENSLAND!!), but I knew I had to get back to the story. I needed to know...who could do it better?

Oh, my lordy...LUCAS THATCHER...YOU CAN DO BETTER!!

Can't say I was a huge fan of Daisy. From the beginning, I knew she was self-absorbed and a little too OTT with her hate for Lucas. Mind you, for about 2 seconds, I thought Lucas was a douchewaffle. These two were crazy competitive and took it to such an extreme that their whole town knew about it.

Turns out, only one of them was taking The War seriously, though. By the end of the story, when all the cards had been laid out, I forgave Daisy...but...I still feel like Lucas could do better.

The narration was good. I was a little disappointed that the male narrator doesn't really do a lot of scenes/chapters. There wasn't anything wrong with the female narrator, I just would have preferred a little more of a mix.

I really enjoy R.S. Grey's quirky sense of humour and sexy characters. Lucas is the full package. Good looking, smart, caring and devoted, just the way I like my heroes.

I will definitely be back for more.

Daisy and Lucas both return to their hometown of Hamilton after an 11 year absence to assume positions at the local medical practice. Daisy believes she is there to take over the practice, but Lucas has other plans.

This was exactly what I needed to get out of my sad-book-hangover! This rom-com featuring enemies to lovers hit the spot. It made me laugh, smile, grin, swoon - it made me happy.

This one was fun, because the MCs, Daisy and Lucas, have a ton of history. The story is peppered with their memories, and there were some really adorable peeks into their pasts. Anything You Can Do is mostly told from Daisy's POV. At first, I was a little worried, because I always want to get into both the hero's and the heroine's heads, but then these email drafts starting turning up. Lucas wrote emails to Daisy, which were so honest and beautiful, but he never sent them. These revealed Lucas' inner thoughts, and it just made the story that much better.

I am a fan of Grey's, and knew I could rely on her for a fun and sexy read with great characters and witty banter. It's everything I want in a rom-com, and maybe even a little bit more. I think what such a hit for me was Lucas and his big, beautiful heart. My eyes got all shiny every time he reflected on his feelings for Daisy. I don't know if Grey could have made him any swoonier.

I am not going to quote, or go into anymore detail, because I want you to experience every thing for the first time if you choose to read this book.

If you like frenemy love stories of the rom-com variety featuring clever dialog, a sassy heroine, and a hero that will melt the pants off you, then I suggest you read this book.
