I'm not a fan of big changes made to a character's origin, since most of the time it's a new author just wanting to make a change for the sake of change or to do a shake up in there time of writing a superhero series.
But, this was done well and I don't hate it. Towards the end of this series, we see how Tony's birth parents met and their story. I liked that that his parents weren't some established character or any big name. I laughed when Tony read the documents and he said over and over "Not the Red Skull."
We see Howard Stark adopting Tony which at first looks like selfish reasons, but in the flashback you can see Howard did love Tony. Maria Stark looks like she loved Tony right away.
I don't know what the effects of this change is going to have on Tony going forward but I'm not opposed to reading more on this story line.
Overall this book was good for a reveal a superhero's parents type of story.
