This is a pretty decent cover. Good representation of the hero. Good composition. Unique and eye-caching title work.
This book was both intriguing and disturbing all wrapped into one. So basically this was right up my alley. It was well written and nicely paced. It had some twists and turns. It had an interesting and unique plot. No OW/OM drama. No angst really. A few hot sex scenes and two likable main characters.
That said I did have a few issues that stopped it from being a complete hit. One, I am not sure why the heroine needed such an over the top background? Especially when her history doesn't come into play at all for the entire book. It seemed a bit like overkill. Second, through the whole book, I was waiting for a particular twist to be revealed. Alas, that twist never comes, and I was left feeling like a HUGE opportunity was missed to make this an even MORE twisted book. Lastly, the ending felt rushed, and because the aforementioned thing didn't take place I was left with a bunch of loose ends and things that didn't make sense like What about Richard? The cameras? Why were Viv's wrists bruised? Why was Pope so rough and mean to Viv outside the restaurant? And for heaven's sake, Pope was a big guy why the hell didn't he just overpower the little Korean lady and tie her up!!??
All in all, though I found this one to be an enjoyable read that held my attention throughout. So two thumbs up from yours truly.
