He realizes he wants it all with her, not the girl from his memory. This Maggie...
I have to mention: I am on the other side of 40, and am so happy whenever there are characters my age in romances. I was able to relate to their past and present, and it just made the story that much more enjoyable for me. As the characters reminisced, I prompted me to reflect on the past too. These flashbacks were especially vivid, since none of the pop culture references got past me.
"Carpe vir!"
"Isn't that saying 'carpe diem'?"
"Pfft. 'Seize the man' is so much better. And more appropriate for this situation."
I must say, Prescott does such a wonderful job describing the island, I want to go out there and see if for myself. Heck! It sounds so good, I want to get a little house next-door to Maggie.
I think you know I love you. Not past tense, not friendly love. Love. Love that lassoes the moon and lays it at your feet.
Overall: So much fun, so sweet, I want more!
